I bake bread all year long. When the weather turns warm, I tend to bake bread at night, when it's cooler. Sometimes I'll bake in my gas grill. That works really well, but when it's crazy hot outside standing around a hot grill, even for a little while, isn't a lot of fun.
On the other hand, a bread machine doesn't throw off much heat. When I want a loaf of bread for sandwiches, tossing ingredients into the bread machine makes a lot of sense. It's better than heating up the house so I can have cold sandwiches.
