I've found my history with wine has come in handy in the most surprising ways! Like a great wine, food is about balance, and cake is no different. At Kim and Jake's Cakes we find harmony with unusal combinations that straddle the line of sweet and savory, rich and tangy, with the idea being the same as wine...that you keep coming back for more!

What's your ideal/favorite meal?
You know, the food changes but it always involves my wife, our family, wine, and cake!

What's your favorite kitchen tool?
The microplane and the corkscrew. Always near by....and nobody messes with someone holding a cork screw.

What's something you'd like a chance to eat or cook?
A liger (it's a cross between a lion and a tiger), just kidding. According to my mother I've eaten everything there is!

Why do you cook?
I don't cook so much as eat. And I love to eat. From the most basic garden tomato with salt to Thanksgiving blowouts. What else is there to do with your life??
